Reciting a poem on podOmatic

by Deaulivery 30. August 2010 20:50

While browsing through podomatic's site, I found out there's not only music you can DJ it out, but also poetry, so I dived in and recorded this original poem of mine (which you can also find it on my personal Tumblr)

Maneuvering the Keyboard'eau live from The I-Deau
I am maneuvering my keyboard'eau
live from my I'Deau!
I am not from Bordeaux,
Although I'd like t'eau!
I derive from a variation of water,
I have a creative spring in me,
And I'm always liken to a rafter...
and so on.

To fully listen to me reciting this poem, please go to my podOmatic site. Comments welcomed as always!
Cheers!

My latest books

by Deaulivery 7. July 2010 06:09

Everything I write comes from my pouring feather - my mind; my soul is a trusted companion, and I put heart in all that I write.

My latest book is about bringing Heaven on Earth, something more than a parable, a sense which I try to relate to you, the reader, of having a Connector, as well as following some basic guidelines in your daily life, some of which may be aware, while some are categorized as vices.

Bringing Heaven on Earth by Damsi Deau

There is also a free document book (available here) and it deals with various points of reference, of interest, of risk, as well as some stumbling blocks in an individual's life.

I think of people as open letters that need a connector, a messenger that would seem them through to God. I find that words are just raindrops, but they find a lot of obstacles while falling from the clouds, and they are so vulnerable that they may be swayed one way or the other.

The first book includes an exclusive poem I wrote specifically for the book. Here is a fragment from it:

" Moving the Earth

is like lifting a heavy burden.

We may not be able to grasp the whole of it,

However, every time we approach the horizon,

We dream of grabbing a ray of sunshine,

Thus we get closer to the sun.

...

The Earth is like a balloon,

shifting away through the essences of the air.

But what if we are the most important substance

inside a hall we call the Universe?

What if we are the ingredient

which fits in the mind of that Universe?

..."

Please discover my other books starting from my new portal , and thank you for the comments you may have!

God bless!!

Audio and Poem website all in 1

by Deaulivery 21. March 2010 05:49

A new way to hear me and to view the poem online

At this location, you can find my label 'Tween Gems (Between Gems, pertaining to my website www.tweengems.com which I still have to update with poems), and in this label I am planning to launch another artist. But for now, there are a few poems which you can download for a special price.

My song dedicated to Haiti entitled "Who can, indeed" is also available for download as mp3, as are all poems there. Within the audio of all poems, you can listen to a special URL that will point you to the poetic style I have online. All poems/songs copyrighted, as you will be able to view on the respective sites.

Once on the page of the label, you can check out Damsi Deau, that's me.

So let me know how you liked the poems (and the writing style afterwards), available for less than a mp3 price. The special song (the only song on there) is $0.95 and $0.20 will go to a construction charity.

Thank you for comments and viewing. Wish you a pleasant listening/viewing!

New Squidoo for the poetry book

by Deaulivery 14. March 2010 06:52

Dear readers,

I have just written a squidoo for the book. Hope you can find it interesting.

Here is a bit of a sample from the book, one poem which I wrote especially for the book called...

"No one knew about a second"

"No one knew about a second
until it popped out from the insights of a minute.
No one looked at a minute
until it loaded and imploded, then exploded out of an hour.

A minute lost is not a lifetime disaster,
But the whole hour is gone because a day had axed her.

If someone manages to slip inside a split of a blinking second,
And if that someone manages to fill up that second,
                                                                   complete that minute,
                                                                     add 60 seconds each time,
                                                                             thus forming an hour,
Then every minute's boost is a lifetime gain,
And that someone will be lauded
with days full of recognition grains.

..."

and so on.

Thanks and have a super duper day!

P.S.: some of you asked me about RSS, therefor, I presume clicking on Post RSS feed on any blog entry gives you the choice to subscribe to the feed of the blog.

My 1st Poetry Book

by Deaulivery 1. March 2010 04:24

Today I am releasing my self-made poetry book... featuring some of my "drupaceous styles falling plum on the line of poetry."

Available here, "Pouring Damson" showcases my original writing styles, so it's more than just a poetry book, it's a lifestyle of the words, all captured within the 25 poems.

Thanks for taking the time to read it the preview there of the first 15 pages from it. "The Acts" is how I call the first style, while inside the book there will be other styles like Sparsettas (words or expressions writing one another letters) or Phrasalms (the heart of a poem sounding like a psalm/song throughout).

There are brand new ways to contact me as to how you liked the styles, the book, etc.

In addition: I've set up a special site dedicated to the book (excerpts, ask questions, interract with me) at http://kwik.to/damsideau

Thanks,

Damsi Deau (pen name)

Dedication to Haiti

by Deaulivery 14. January 2010 08:24

I started writing this song January 13, completed on January 14, 2010, and it was made with the people of Haiti in mind, and, indeed, the world, as we can believe in ourselves, stay positive and build on our proportions, talents and blessings in life.

    Who can, indeed

"Don't leave me out tonight!

The cold is not a freight,

But I'll manage,

As putting up with its scenes.

The wind! You chilly friend of mine!
If I could only open a window
 to anyone who is God-sent,
I could let 'em see
how this world leaves me cold at times!

I've built a hundred roads
 and my strength is gone,
But I don't lack any will power!

I've built a thousand friends,
Yet some have been taken away...
With whom can I stay tonight?

I've built on love,
But it's collapsed.
Who could help me
 rebuild my vessel,
             my place,
               my home
 on this so-called heart-shaped world?!

Who can, indeed...

But where there's no wind,
There is no soul to unwind.
...

Who can?

You can!
You can!
I can, indeed!

I can!
I can!
You can, indeed!

Who can?
Who can?
You can, indeed!

Who can?
We can!
We can, indeed!

(full song on this mp3 with my voice.
Additionally, you can view a Screenr I made (albeit loading slower) of my thinking about its lines and writing it live.

Currently, I am in discussion with a couple of musicians as to adding an instrumental to it, and proceeds will ultimately go to the organizations which I will post a special chip in.)

Being with the one I love

by Deaulivery 3. December 2009 12:47
From a new poem I wrote this week:

"Bolted from thunder & its thunderous light,

Lit by wonder and its wondrous line,

Lined up on the horizon, so I cannot touch...

However...
... This is what I watch:

Out of the sun, rises the shiny one,
And I'm down with its blinding prism-like stars;
'Cause that is how I get -
                           !done-art -

Venturing in-between the shadows of sky's palette,
Tied to the spectacle of a ray that's spun,
The feeling I embody is a treecency,
For it is an evergrowing regency
 which has me whisked soulfully
beyond horizons I can dream of,
Visually make use of,
Proudly speak of,
As it is one of my dreams
that is yet to come true,
And that is being with the one I love...
                You!

The Jimmy Fund Special Event

by Deaulivery 22. October 2009 07:06

Preparations for the Jimmy Fund cancer research 3-day special on November 13-15 has been underway for a few weeks now, but it is recently that I came across it, and thought it's a great way to support the cause by giving my 20-22 min of my time around the autumn date.

I will donate 3 leaves, and I will let them fall, much like candles light up for the cause. People never really fall, they just run through life until they are retired to Heaven, at least some of us do, but not before they are to be carried by the wind and tossed around in different circumstances, ultimately lighting up someone's heart or blessing someone's life.

Leaf number 1: my writing. The following is a special song I've written for the cause and for everyone that believes in life and in making the best out of it, despite the downfalls and what not.

Just imagine, together we could be "Killing Broken hearts".

"We are killing broken hearts
By curing long lost reasons for our love,
A love we almost never see it happen at first sight no more.

We are mending broken hearts
By bringing together seasons which seem apart.

Apart from our hearts,
We are all right,
As long as we are given a beating start.

We can never be deceased,
Because we live to beat disease.

We can't stress it out enough,
How important it is to fuel this staff,

Just one chord at a time,
One beat out of a sudden chime...
We are killing broken hearts
By curing long lost reasons for our love,
A love we almost never see it happen at first sight no more.

We are mending broken hearts
By bringing together seasons which seem apart.

Apart from our hearts,
We are all right,
As long as we are given a beating start.

Just one verse at a time,
Buiding up decor to a chorus!

Running 'round the detour life throws at us,
We're building up on the instances before us...
We are killing broken hearts
By curing long lost reasons for our love,
A love we almost never see it happen at first sight no more.

We are mending broken hearts
By bringing together seasons which seem apart.

Apart from our hearts,
We are all right,
As long as we are given a beating start."

Leaf number 2: my animations (or animated movies, thanks to xtranormal and instafilms)... If you've been following my blog (along with the I-Deau blog), you would be familiar with my project TI2U (@tiiuvenue on Twitter as well)... they are animated tweets... There are also some unrelated animated movies I've been writing the script for, and they are following more of a comic trend. Please view them at my youtube.

Leaf number 3: my singing... And this will be the part where I will be singing 2 songs, one of which will be "Killing Broken Hearts" (acapella), while the other is the Roger Whittaker's "River Lady" (acapella), a song which you can hear it on my myspace site.

I hope you will be attending the event that is scheduled to be featured on BlogTV.com
at this address:

http://www.blogtv.com/People/artists4life

If you can donate any amount for the cancer research will be greatly appreciated.
Let us kill broken hearts and try and get ever so closer to a cure for cancer!

I thank you for viewing this page and for spreading the word about the event itself,
because lot of other wonderful artists will be performing on
November 13 thru November 15th, 2009

Embraceon Key

by Deaulivery 9. October 2009 08:53

Embraceon Key is my latest literary creation... A fictional band name.

I am pronouncing it Embrace-sea-on Key, and I will write a metaphoric song about the sea in the future, but for now it is keyed-off as an embrace, Embrace-on Key.

Here is a fragment of the song lyrics (first song of Embraceon Key... kind of what is this key?)

...

You had the steering wheel,
I had the staring will
to meet love at first sight.

Refilled each day
 thanks to quick lightning thoughts,
I'm making my way up
from under the raising of the eyebrows of some,
Jumping over their foreheads,
Then reading off the top of the roof:

Embrace your day
like the softest intent of a pilow's hay.
If you pleh E ay E ay E ay it gentle,
She'll be driving back to you...

Now,
         Embraceon key
is that bracelet worn around her wrist.
If you may E ay E ay E ake it simple,
Like the love pulses supplies,
So the many hugs may imply
that this is the jewel made for you,
And that is built to compliment you!

Launching an embrace world-wise,
Spreading like a rainbow across the sky,
I'm feeling like a hug source in disguise,
Hoping to wrap my arms around you
                          like a pulse supply!

  Think about the clouds that are driven away;
Associate that with some people going astray.

I'm sending out this invitation for a positive way,
And if you pick it up,
              Live a momentous day,
                Then pay it forward
     across somebody else's darkened sky.

...

Every now and then you can watch them, once I twitter the URL for it, so be sure to follow @Deaulivery on twitter for my updates.

As well, you can see them on my youtube channel.
Please subscribe forupdates there.
Currently, there are over 60 videos I made,
most are animated movies, some are me singing in them.

Have fun and visit!

New scripts, songs etc. An update.

by Deaulivery 25. September 2009 05:45

So, what's happening latey, on the literary front?

Ti2U (@tiiuvenue on Twitter) has its own playlist web site: http://ti2u.isgre.at on YouTube.
Some of the phrases I will include with the next tweepisodes (episode on twitter): "Athlete of the mind" "I was lit up in silence, but you were not the only beacon of trust",,
Remixing weekdays... Thursday sounds like Surfs Day, for example.

Also worked on the comedy sketch of "Dom Da Don" and sung a song (sort of a reply song) to Cathy Dennis' Moments of Love... to be found at http://lookin.at/gemtube

There is more about writing than meets the ink, and that is why invention is at the forefront of my mind.

So, enjoy the links and have a great time until my next post!

Inspire, Expire, never expire!

by Deaulivery 4. September 2009 01:58
"Writing is like expiration. I feel inspired, I expire. I expire words. Words never expire."

This was one of the phrases I came up with today. Consider it documented on here. I was in the middle of writing a song, inspired by Amy Kuney (not going to be a reply poem or song to her wonderful "Appreciate Your Hands" though), then I saw a lot of tweets about Iran's Elections and Gatherings this weekend, and was inspired to write:

"I think there's Spring in the air, Forget the sense of Fall! I think there's Summer in the Soul! Forewarned, were you about them all!"

while this is my alternate, poetic line I also twittered this morning.

"I think there's Spring in the air, Forget the sense of Fall! I think there's Summer in the Soul! Foretold, was I about it all!"

There is a wonderful, unwritten step-by-step rule in the writing world:

Aspire to write something captivating, inspire, as in breathe deep, then expire with words, have thoughts come out from your mind and on to the paper, or Word program, Word processor or I-Phone, and that way you'll never expire, your expressions, thoughts, quotes shall never expire!

Now, here is a part ofmy poem:

"Crafted in the eyes
of the ones who see no lies,
Sculpted by the hands that cannot touch.

I am secretly stashed
 under bricks of thoughts
         yet to be picked up.
Brushed aside,
            I'll never take this ride,
Unless I have a good feeling about God's tide!"

Till next time! Stay D'eauliverituned!

Airdifices

by Deaulivery 29. August 2009 09:59

First off: "Airdifices" does not exist as a word, but it's a combination of air + edifices, resulting in an expression which means edifices built in the air.

"Airdifices" is the title of a poem. The poem is somewhat of a reply to a song entitled "If a song could get me you", a simple and extraordinary song by Marit Larsen.

I had written it as a poem format, because as a song it would be too complex to sing. I started writing a song, but writing is my forté.

What I would advise any starting out singer, is to choose a song you would like to cover, and then stop... While looking at its lyrics, listening to its melody, why not write a reply song of your own to it? This would keep the music going 'round and 'round, and would keep the notes afloat, rather than have an overplaying flat tire some day, be it voice wise or creativity wise.
