New Squidoo for the poetry book

by Deaulivery 14. March 2010 06:52

Dear readers,

I have just written a squidoo for the book. Hope you can find it interesting.

Here is a bit of a sample from the book, one poem which I wrote especially for the book called...

"No one knew about a second"

"No one knew about a second
until it popped out from the insights of a minute.
No one looked at a minute
until it loaded and imploded, then exploded out of an hour.

A minute lost is not a lifetime disaster,
But the whole hour is gone because a day had axed her.

If someone manages to slip inside a split of a blinking second,
And if that someone manages to fill up that second,
                                                                   complete that minute,
                                                                     add 60 seconds each time,
                                                                             thus forming an hour,
Then every minute's boost is a lifetime gain,
And that someone will be lauded
with days full of recognition grains.

..."

and so on.

Thanks and have a super duper day!

My 1st Poetry Book

by Deaulivery 1. March 2010 04:24

Today I am releasing my self-made poetry book... featuring some of my "drupaceous styles falling plum on the line of poetry."

Available here, "Pouring Damson" showcases my original writing styles, so it's more than just a poetry book, it's a lifestyle of the words, all captured within the 25 poems.

Thanks for taking the time to read it the preview there of the first 15 pages from it. "The Acts" is how I call the first style, while inside the book there will be other styles like Sparsettas (words or expressions writing one another letters) or Phrasalms (the heart of a poem sounding like a psalm/song throughout).

There are brand new ways to contact me as to how you liked the styles, the book, etc.

In addition: I've set up a special site dedicated to the book (excerpts, ask questions, interract with me) at http://kwik.to/damsideau

Thanks,

Damsi Deau (pen name)

The Land (poem/song)

by Deaulivery 28. June 2009 09:40

I wrote this poem (song) while listening to the voices of Celtic Woman last night.  It's just an extract from my piece, but it features a distant land and a passion for a love. The "it" and "her" do have their own metaphoric meaning.

The rDeau, in fact, is something which features poetry, but more about it at a later date.

     I saw (the land)

"I...
    ... Saw the land...

         So distant!
             So peaceful!
                 Still so extant!

         So, despite the wind's respite,
         Her smile scoured my memory,
And, my riposte to the land
was thrusted in the horizon's instance
of the sky's and the earth's joint vase!

Its moments drove me through her days,
I ran past history and opened dates...
They were scarcely credulous in cadence.
But its people were so ardent for her decadance!

Its nightfall placed her eyes on me,
I fell for all her destiny!
That's how I felt once being lead
     through its timeline's bravery,
It's as if I was being poured
into her cup of a timeless winery!

I...
  ... Saw the lay...

       So abstract!
             So resourceful!
                    Such extract!"
