I started writing this song January 13, completed on January 14, 2010, and it was made with the people of Haiti in mind, and, indeed, the world, as we can believe in ourselves, stay positive and build on our proportions, talents and blessings in life.
Who can, indeed
"Don't leave me out tonight!
The cold is not a freight,
But I'll manage,
As putting up with its scenes.
The wind! You chilly friend of mine!
If I could only open a window
to anyone who is God-sent,
I could let 'em see
how this world leaves me cold at times!
I've built a hundred roads
and my strength is gone,
But I don't lack any will power!
I've built a thousand friends,
Yet some have been taken away...
With whom can I stay tonight?
I've built on love,
But it's collapsed.
Who could help me
rebuild my vessel,
my place,
my home
on this so-called heart-shaped world?!
Who can, indeed...
But where there's no wind,
There is no soul to unwind.
...
Who can?
You can!
You can!
I can, indeed!
I can!
I can!
You can, indeed!
Who can?
Who can?
You can, indeed!
Who can?
We can!
We can, indeed!

view a Screenr I made (albeit loading slower) of my thinking about its lines and writing it live.
Currently, I am in discussion with a couple of musicians as to adding an instrumental to it, and proceeds will ultimately go to the organizations which I will post a special chip in.)
